IT Administrator (f/m)

Position Overview:
As an IT Administrator, you will be a part of an IT team responsible for maintaining the company's IT network, servers and security systems. The company has multiple offices worldwide, with critical IT systems spread across the offices. This role is essential to ensure business continuity and information security. You will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the company's office in Germany including helpdesk and purchase orders, but also share responsibility for IT systems globally. Your tasks will include investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine evaluation, configuration, and installation of IT solutions. You may need to provide basic helpdesk as well as build and maintain complex technological lab environments to support research and development. You will need to share your own knowledge, create and maintain documentation, and help implement and maintain security awareness at the company.
Support day-to-day operation of the company's office in Berlin
Develop, manage and maintain corporate IT systems
Ensure integrity and security of data, reliability and performance of the IT systems
Assist R&D/QA teams to build complex development/research/testing environment
Oversee contracts, service level agreements and relationships with key IT suppliers and providers
Evaluate and install networking software and devices, operating systems, and software applications
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
Participate in defining company IT road-map and infrastructure strategies, aligned with the company business strategy
Collaborate with the IT personnel across the company
Support security awareness and training initiatives to promote the success of company-wide IT compliance efforts
Monitor the ongoing status and make recommendations regarding scope, timeline, budget changes, and/or improvements
Recognize and identify potential areas where existing policies, standards, and procedures require change
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
A working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows, Linux and Mac
Hands on experience of installing and configuring IT hardware and software
Experience in analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and specifications
Good understanding of information security concepts and principles
Good organisational skills
Good problem solving skills
Strong communication skills in multi-cultural environment
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Education or certifications in IT and Information Security ? advantage

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
