Trade Control Specialist

Boeing has been a part of the European aerospace community for almost 80 years, and has operations throughout Europe. In the last few years our local footprint has expanded exponentially and as such an opening has become available for an enthusiastic and self-motivating trade control specialist within the Global Trade Controls (GTC) organization.
Global Trade Controls (GTC) is a corporate function which partners with Boeing's business units to successfully execute on global import/export requirements, and represents Boeing interests to key regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
The Trade Control Specialist (TCS) will be responsible for providing support to Boeing entities in Europe with regulatory requirements, imports and exports activities, customs broker oversight, implementing internal controls for trade control compliance, and acting as Boeing's liaison with government agencies for trade control-related issues.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct support to in-country senior leadership
Identify trade control risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies for the region
Provide policy solutions and partner with trade control regulators on initiatives which support company strategy
Participates in industry advocacy groups and support trade control regulatory engagement
Responsible for communications to European executive leadership, program managers and functional stakeholders
Provide strategic guidance to recommend and deploy duty relief schemes
Lead customs and export control audits, in support of programs
Develop licensing strategy for entities, obtain licenses and implement Internal Control Plans
Classification of products under EU dual use legislation and national legislation
Provide trade control training to internal stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's, and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
Self-starter able to work complex issues across programs, functional teams and time zones; possess high ethics and has a demonstrated record of working successfully in a time-constrained environment.
Excellent communication (verbal as well as written) and interpersonal skills and work well in a virtual, collaborative environment.
Good judgment and extreme discretion
Experience with and a working knowledge of EU export and import regulations required.
Fluency in English and German (read, written, and spoken)
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Preferred:
Experience with and a working knowledge of U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) highly desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
